Laura has over 10 years of experience developing and deploying robots for a variety of environments, including homes, hospitals, factories, and warehouses.

Why T-ROBOTICS?

Laura has seen the ups and downs of the robotics industry over the past decade. She was drawn to T-ROBOTICS because of its focus on practical, customer-centric solutions. She notes that the current phase around humanoids and foundation models seems focused on pushing the limits of technology rather than building products customers actually want and can afford.

Laura explains her motivation: "I saw the current robotics hype phase pushing limits, but missing product delivery. T-ROBOTICS is deeply focused on the intersection of true customer need and reliable delivery."

She was impressed that T-ROBOTICS is committed to providing essential machine tending solutions and has assembled a strong team aligned on that goal.

Mission Focus: Deploying Practical Solutions

Laura is keen to bring her past startup experience to T-ROBOTICS. In previous roles, she observed how rushing to deploy robot systems often led to solutions that were expensive to maintain and did not align with customer expectations. Laura's mission is to build and deploy practical robotics solutions that operate reliably in factory environments. She will apply her expertise to architecting robust and extensible software systems on our ActGPT platform, ensuring the entire autonomy stack is stable, maintainable, and reliable. This focus moves the industry beyond theoretical technology toward stable, deployable products that meet real-world customer needs.

Background

Laura's extensive career includes developing and deploying robots in diverse settings, giving her deep insight into operational reliability across different sectors.

She has experience with several robotics companies as a Staff Robotics Software Engineer. Having programmed robots with ROS since graduate school, she has worked across the full autonomy stack, from navigation to complex behavior trees. This deep experience enables her to architect systems that are both initially scoped and reliably extensible for advanced capabilities.

A California native, she earned her BS in Computer Engineering from University of California Santa Cruz and holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Stanford.

Outside of work, Laura volunteers at a local nature preserve, removing invasive plants.
